A customer in Lower Broadheath, WR2 recently contacted Elgar Services for help with several plumbing and heating jobs around their home.
Rather than arranging separate visits for each issue, we surveyed everything together, provided a quote for the full list of work, and completed the jobs during one appointment.
What Work Was Needed?
The customer had a number of smaller jobs that needed attention, including:
- Removing and replacing a radiator
- Installing an outside tap
- Repairing a shower
- Carrying out an annual boiler service
Once the customer was happy with the quote, our engineers got to work.
Radiator Replacement
The existing radiator was removed and replaced with a new one, helping make sure the room was heating properly and the installation was working as it should.
Replacing a radiator can be necessary for several reasons, including leaks, corrosion, poor performance or simply updating an older heating system.
Outside Tap Installation
We also installed a new outside tap for the property.
An outside tap can make everyday jobs much easier, from watering the garden to washing the car, but it is important that it is connected and installed correctly.
Shower Repair
The customer also had an issue with their shower, which we were able to inspect and repair during the same visit.
Where possible, repairing an existing shower can be a straightforward and cost effective alternative to replacing it completely.
Annual Worcester Boiler Service
While at the property, we also carried out the customer’s annual boiler service.
Regular boiler servicing helps make sure the appliance is operating safely and gives the engineer an opportunity to identify signs of wear or potential problems before they develop into a larger fault.
For gas boilers, servicing should always be carried out by an appropriately registered Gas Safe engineer.
One Visit, Several Jobs Completed
One of the advantages of using a plumbing and heating company that covers a wide range of services is that several jobs can often be dealt with together.
In this case, the radiator replacement, outside tap installation, shower repair and boiler service were all completed during the same visit.
We also checked back with the customer afterwards to make sure everything was working as expected.
