We had a call about a customer who was having issues with their radiator – it was not getting hot. We suspected that it was because of stuck or frozen valves that have stopped water getting to the radiator and therefore preventing his house from warming up. This all occurred during a particularly cold day and therefore was causing great stress to our elderly customer. We drove to Lower Broadheath, WR2 – where the customer lived – to carry out a survey to work out what the problem was and how we could solve it. When we got there, we wanted to check if the issue was due to a blocked central heating pipe, not an airlock. We did this by drawing central heating water up each pipe until both pipes began to get warm. We felt that there was no air coming up, meaning there was a blockage. We did the necessary methods needed to unblock the radiator and got it working again.
Last week we headed round to customers home in the Lower Broadheath, WR2 – To carry out a range of plumbing and heating tasks which they needed sorting for their property. We first surveyed the work and gave the customer a quote for it all to be completed. Once they were happy to go ahead, Eddie and Rob got to work. In just 3 hours they were able to complete a radiator removal and replacement, an installation of an outside tap, a shower repair and an annual boiler service on their Worcester boiler. Later that evening the guys dropped by to make sure everything was functioning as it should be once the customer was able to test it all out. Stephanie (the customer) was very pleased with the work the guys completed and said that she would definitely be back for more work from Elgar heating and plumbing service in the near future, which is always a good sign that we have lived up to the customers’ expectations.
