At Elgar Services, we recently completed this striking bathroom installation for a property in Worcester. The aim of the project was to create a modern, practical space while keeping the character of the room intact.
With the beautiful exposed timber beams and large skylight already in place, the design focused on complementing these features while delivering a high quality, contemporary bathroom.
A spacious walk-in shower
The centrepiece of the room is the large walk-in shower area, finished with a sleek linear drain and built-in tiled bench. This creates a clean, open shower space that is both practical and visually impressive.
A recessed shower niche was also built into the tiled wall to provide convenient storage for toiletries without interrupting the overall design.
Natural tones and modern finishes
Large format slate effect tiles were chosen across the walls and floor to create a seamless, natural look throughout the bathroom. The rich tones of the tiles pair perfectly with the exposed beams, giving the space warmth and character.
To add contrast, the bathroom features matte black fixtures, including a rainfall shower panel and matching taps, helping to give the room a bold, contemporary finish.
A balance of modern and rustic design
One of the most striking elements of the space is how the modern bathroom features sit alongside the traditional character of the room. The exposed beams, skylight and textured tiles create a space that feels both stylish and unique.
The vanity unit combines natural wood with a black basin and matching taps, adding warmth while maintaining the modern aesthetic of the room.
