We have a passion for good customer service at a reasonable price. This ethos has enabled us to grow our client base via word of mouth alone.

Whether your heating and plumbing work is a planned job or an emergency callout, we will endeavour to complete the work to a high standard and we always tidy up properly after each job.

Our Background

Established in 2011, Elgar Heating and Plumbing Services is run by Edward Scoffin and Daniel Owens, who have 19 years of industry experience between them. Their growing team includes a number of plumbers and heating engineers, along with an electrician who has 28 years’ experience.

Their administrator and in-house accountant ensure every element of the business runs smoothly, and enables Elgar to provide a straightforward and professional service for every client.

Our Team

Edward Scoffin was driven to launch Elgar Heating and Plumbing Service as part of his passion for delivering superior customer service.


Edward Scoffin

Edward knew that he could offer a better service to customers if he was running his own business, so he launched Elgar Heating and Plumbing in 2011. With ten years’ experience in the industry, he is well equipped to deal with wide-ranging plumbing and heating work. When he’s not working he spends time with his partner Nikki and enjoys going to the gym.

Daniel Owens

Daniel has nine years’ experience as a plumber and is gas qualified. He has worked alongside Edward in the business for some time and came on board to join Edward in running Elgar back in 2014. Outside of work, he takes part in kickboxing and running, and likes spending time with partner Charlotte and their dog, Kelvin the pug.

Tony Past

Electrician, Tony, has 28 years’ experience of carrying out electrical work and has worked with Elgar for the last four years. His wide-ranging experience includes domestic and commercial work, HMOs, intruder alarm maintenance and electrical work in bars and clubs.

Nikki Smith

Nikki is the friendly team administrator who keeps everything running efficiently and enables the team to stay organised and provide a good, reliable service for customers.

Anthony Stanley

Anthony is Elgar’s in-house accountant, who ensures the business finances are on track and run in a professional manner. His presence is particularly beneficial for Elgar’s commercial and public sector clients, ensuring everything is organised with the utmost efficiency. His spare time revolves around football.
